Presented by AACSC Operational Advisor Oliver John-Baptiste, this essential training is designed for property owners, managers, and real estate professionals who want to stay ahead of legal changes and avoid costly mistakes.
Learn how to properly prepare and serve a 3-Day Notice to Pay Rent or Quit while avoiding costly mistakes that can jeopardize an eviction case. Topics include the landmark Eshagian v. Cepeda decision, new Right to Counsel (RTC) requirements, updated Rent Stabilization Ordinance (RSO) rules, and wildfire-related tenant protections. Gain practical guidance on completing notices, calculating deadlines, and meeting all posting and filing requirements.
This course will cover:
- Eshagian v. Cepeda: What this landmark case means for notice language.
- Right to Counsel (RTC): New requirements and their impact on compliance.
- Rent Stabilization Ordinance (RSO): 2025 updates and enforcement changes.
- Use best practices to ensure valid, enforceable notices.
Hybrid Format: Attend in person at AACSC’s Education Center for a limited-seating experience, or join live via Zoom from anywhere. Either way, you’ll get full access to the presentation and Q&A.
