A California native and a 30-year resident of Redondo Beach, Anita Kay Estes combines a head for details and a heart for people into her property management business Sand-Sea Property Management, Inc.
Anita was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley where her parents built their own home on a commercial acre. The family grew orange and grapefruit trees and raised chickens, and her Kansas- and Iowa-bred farming parents passed along a strong work ethic to their four children.
After working in the banking industry for nearly 15 years, Anita joined her sister’s property management firm for the next 15. She earned her California Real Estate License, worked in commercial and residential real estate.
From the office in Manhattan Beach, Sand Sea Property Management, services properties throughout the South Bay, Los Angeles and Indio. “We deal with everything,” says Anita, “from deadbeat tenants and weekly maintenance to rent control and retrofits. The essential elements are respect and accountability, and I’m happy to say that we have earned kudos from both our building owners and their tenants!”
Along with managing property, Anita managed to raise two sons and is now a delighted grandmother. She also manages to find time to snow- and water-ski, hike, cook, dig in her garden, “and have lots of good conversation.”
